Hidayatullah had to jump out the moving vehicle to save himself

QUETTA: A driver of an oil tanker was killed and a cleaner injured after a stranger, who was traveling with them, opened fire at them.

The body and injured were shifted to Prince Fahad Hospital, Dalbandin where the deceased was identified as Shah Baig Lehri and the injured as Hidayatullah Kurd.

While receiving treatment, the injured said the stranger was sitting with them in the tanker on the request of a hotel owner who had asked them to drop him off at Dalbandin.

“I was sleeping when something woke me up. I opened my eyes to see the stranger pointing a gun at me. He fired two shot that hit my shoulder and I jumped out of the tanker to save myself,” Hidayatullah elaborated.

Meanwhile, Chagai Levies force arrested the alleged killer during a raid in the Faisal Colony area of Dalbandin.

Addressing a press conference in Dalbandin Levies Station, Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin Habib Nasir told the media that the raid was conducted under his command.

He said the alleged murderer, Attaullah, was a professional criminal who had committed several heinous crimes in past.
