KARACHI:
There is a need to spread awareness and create treatment programmes for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities (LD) among children. This was stated by the Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar on Wednesday during his visit to Kazim Trust (KT). KT Founder Kazin Anwar, Human Resources Manager Batool Najam and others were present on the occasion.

Qamar said that it was a matter of fact that ADHD and LD should never hinder the academic, social, psychological and economic development of any child and we are supposed to provide such children with a friendly environment to grow and lead a successful and normal life. He added that his department was working in multiple ways to bring positive changes in the lives of specially-abled persons but the government could not manage the task of rehabilitation alone and support was needed from society as well.
