US President Donald Trump after being bashed on social media for referring to the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook as ‘Tim Apple’ has now taken to Twitter to defend himself.

At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!
After initially not responding to the error, Apple CEO Tim Cook found the funny side to the situation and on the request of one of the users, he changed his Twitter handle to Tim and a Mac emoji of an apple.
President Trump is known for using nicknames and ‘mispronouncing names’ of rather known people such as 'Jeff Bozo' in reference to Jeff Bezos of Amazon. “Tim Apple” though was a new nickname that no one had ever heard before.

Earlier in 2016, Trump has been critical of Apple and the ideology since Apple refused to unlock a user’s iPhone for the FBI, so much so that Trump even called for a boycott of the company’s products. And when Trump was running his presidential campaign, he tweeted that he had sold his stock in Apple as the company wasn’t making bigger phones “like Samsung.”
