Settlement deed submitted in food poisoning case

Parents forgive the owner of Arizona Grill

KARACHI: The copy of the settlement deed was submitted in a local court of Karachi by the parents of the two minors who died from food poisoning after dining at a private restaurant in Clifton.

The deed mentioned that the father, Muhammad Ahsan, and mother, Aisha, had forgiven the owner of Arizona Grill, Nadeem Mumtaz, and the other accused and that they were not under any duress.

It further stated that no compensation had been taken from the owner and that they did not object to the release of Mumtaz and other accused by the court.

According to the police, the case against Mumtaz and others was registered at Sahil Police Station.

The two minors died after consuming food at Arizona Grill in November 2018.
