RAWALPINDI:
The Punjab government has warned officials, who fail to address public complaints filed on the Prime Minister’s Complaints Portal in a timely manner, will face an inquiry.

The warning was issued on Saturday after the provincial government decided to take stringent action against those officers who did not resolve public complaints.

Meanwhile, departments of the provincial government have started a process to take up issues pointed out in complaints filed on the portal, such as lack of clean drinking water, cleanliness, poor sewerage system, encroachment, broken street lights, lack of car parking, and the presence of stray dogs as well as other issues.

In this regard, the Rawalpindi municipal department has disposed of some 540 public complaints while around 471 complaints have yet to be settled.
