PESHAWAR: Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) Chief Executive Officer Syed Zafar Ali Shah on Thursday conducted surprise visits of different localities of the city and heard complaints of people regarding cleanliness, water supply and sanitation.

Along with General Manager Operations Ali Khan and Zonal Manager Tariq Aziz, the CEO met with traders, shopkeepers and local elders at Kohat Road, Gulbahar, Majeed Town, Shaheen Muslim Town, Hashtnagri, Sikandar Pura, Nishtar Abad, Lahore Gate and city Circular Road and asked about their opinion regarding performance of sanitation staff while appealing to properly dispose of waste generated from their houses and business areas at specific places.

Shah heard people complaints regarding water supply and sanitation and asked the concerned zonal manager to address their issues immediately. He also asked people to directly contact him when they have any complaint against WSSP staff.

The CEO also slapped a fine of Rs20,000 on a shopkeeper and a school owner for throwing garbage in drain and open spaces.
