KARACHI: Remember the 90s?

The golden but cringe-worthy era when Shaan would roam around the fields with a gandasa in his hands and chase his lady love. More so because that lady love was touted to be one of Pakistan's biggest female actors - Reema.

The onscreen couple was all the hype about two decades ago. They starred in several films together and became the 'It' entertainment industry duo.

The couple last shared screen space in Mujhe Chand Chahiye, which released in 2000. And, is now rumoured to be reuniting for a film after almost 20 years.

A source close to the Arth star confirmed to The Express Tribune that the reel life couple is in talks for a possible project. Speculations arose when Shaan shared a picture of a poster on his Instagram account. The poster, titled Pyaar Hojata Hai Phirse, features a couple who resembles Shaan and Reema. The actor captioned the picture with a potential year of release:2020.

While details of the project are yet to be revealed, the source shared that a Shaan and Reema-starrer is on cards. The duo has starred together in films such as Dil Toh Pagal Hain, Aag, Bulandi, Chandi, Sahiba, Kursi Aur Qanoon, Sangram and Shararat to name a few.

On the work front, Shaan is currently working on his upcoming directorial, Zarrar. He also plays the protagonist in the film. Zarrar also stars Pinky Memsaab famed actor Kiran Malik as its female lead. Shaan was last seen in the multi-starrer, Arth, which unfortunately bombed at the box office.

Reema was last seen in Love Mein Gum.
