Eighth edition: Sindh University publishes research journal

Journal discusses government’s policies, gender discrimination in rural areas of Sindh and honour killings.

The University of Sindh (SU) has published its eighth edition of a research journal on social sciences, 2010, which is based on a range of issues.



The articles discuss the government’s poverty alleviation policies, gender discrimination in the rural areas of Sindh and the social crime of honour killings. It also discusses the role of universities in sustainable development and the historical and future perspectives of the National Finance Commission (NFC) awards.

In addition to the domestic issues, reports on the predominance of religious tendencies in Iran and the working milieus in Malaysia for women are also featured.

SU Department of Sociology chairman Dr Hamadullah Kakepoto is the editor of the annual social sciences journal.
