He pointed out that Nishtar Hospital security in charge Sabahat Sher Khan had suspicion over the behaviour of the accused and he started interrogating him.

However, he said Sohail failed to provide any evidence of him being a doctor and kept changing his statements. The police official maintained the security staff called the police who reached the spot and took the suspect into custody.

During interrogation, the suspect revealed that he worked at a private clinic in Garden Town. The accused also confessed that he was not a qualified practitioner.

Meanwhile, the police seized medicines from the possession of the suspect. A further probe is under way.

On January 24, a quack was arrested from Nishtar Hospital. Asad, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, had been working as a fake doctor for the past eight months at the hospital.
