CIA police claimed to have arrested five notorious outlaws during different raids in Khanpur on Tuesday.
CIA Inspector Jam Ghulam Qasim told Express News that the force received a tip-off that wanted gangsters, belonging to notorious criminal gangs, were present in different areas with the intentions to commit criminal activities.
He added the police team immediately conducted raids and nabbed the suspects who were identified as Katta Dashti, Muhammad Irfan, Ajmal Joya, Muhammad Muawiyah and Muhammad Akhtar. The official maintained that the police were carrying out raids to arrest two more wanted outlaws identified as Khadim and Iqbal.
He said that eight stolen motorcycles, 60 bottles of liquor and other valuables were seized from the possession of the outlaws.
Qasim mentioned that the accused were habitual criminals and involved in carrying out criminal activities in different areas.
The CIA official revealed that the accused were wanted by police in several criminal cases.
The police official disclosed that accused Ajmal was a hardened criminal and was wanted in several robbery and murder cases.
Meanwhile, the police have registered cases against the suspects and opened investigation.
On January 27, Okara police arrested a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a man during a robbery bid.
The police received a tip off that a person involved in a murder-cum-robbery case had been spotted in the area. The police team raided a hideout and managed to nab the culprit. The accused was identified as Aslam Bhutta.
During interrogation, it was discovered that the suspect was a schoolteacher. Aslam and his accomplices, identified as Saeed, Nisar, Amanat and Liaquat, gunned down Rasheed and injured his brother during a robbery. The culprits snatched Rs0.12 million from the victims and managed to escape from the spot.
