RAWALPINDI: The citizens have lost valuables during different incidents of crime in the remits of different police stations. The citizens of Rawalpindi have lost some Rs10 million rupees worth of cars, jewellery, motorbikes, cash, cattle in numerous incidents of robberies, theft, street crimes and fraud on Saturday. Some four armed robbers barged into Dr Shehzad’s house in Airport area and held his family hostage on gunpoint and took awar Rs50,000 cash gold ornaments and mobile phones.  Thieves drove off with cars of Ameer Hakhim in New Town, Liaquat Ali and Ramzan Ullah from Sadiqabad and Shafaqat from Airport area while a Jehanzaib was deprived of his motorbike Rawat. Another incident occurred in Naseerabad where Anees-Ur-Rehman’s shop was looted,  Thieves in Naseerabad broke the locks of Aneesur Rehman’s shop and stole some Rs5.67 million. Similarly, the robbers took away some 0.3 million and other valuables including mobile phones and jewellery from Abdul Waheed’s house in the area of Race Course. Similarly, Kulsoom Akhtar’s house locks were broken and the robbers took away laptops and mobile phones.
