Two labourers found dead at poultry farm in Rawalpindi

Police conducts an investigation

RAWALPINDI/ ISLAMABAD: The Jatli police in Rawalpindi have recovered the bodies of two men from the Darkali Syedan from a poultry farm.

They have taken custody of the bodies and have launched an investigation into their deaths.

According to the police, a chicken supplier for the poultry farm arrived at the farm, he found the main gate locked. He knocked on the door but received no response.

After a while, locals gathered outside the farm and broke open the door. Inside, they found the bodies of two labourers, 45-year-old Nasir Abbas and 40-year-old Haji Zaheer, lying in a room.



The police were called in who took the bodies into custody. The bodies were then shifted to the Gujjar Khan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) for a post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death. Police officers said that their initial investigations have failed to offer any clues which would explain the cause of their deaths. They added that they will have to wait for the post-mortem reports before anything can be said about the cause of death.

The Jatli police, though, have registered a case.

Hit and run

A young girl died after she was hit by a motorbike and then run over by an onrushing Toyota Corolla car in the Alipur area of the federal capital.

Muhammad Sarfaraz told the Koral police that his daughter Sanam was walking along the side of the road when a speeding motorbike crashed into her. She was thrown down onto the road due to the force of the impact.

She was still on the ground when an onrushing Toyota Corolla car drove over her. She was killed on the spot.

Sarfaraz said that both, the driver of the motorbike and the car fled the spot.

The Koral police have registered a case but have yet to trace the suspects.



Hit by train

A man was injured by a passing train when he attempted to cross a railway track near Marrir Chowk.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that Bilawal Khan was struck by a train coming up fast behind him while he was trying to cross the railway track. He fell by the track and the force of the impact fractured his leg.

The spokesperson said that Bilawal was then taken to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in critical condition. Doctors later declared him to be out of danger and allowed him to be discharged.
