HYDERABAD: A group of Sindh University's (SU) teachers held a protest at the varsity's campus in Jamshoro district on Wednesday, demanding that chief minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah cancel the minutes of 199th meeting of SU's syndicate.

The protesting teachers alleged that the syndicate's quorum was incomplete and that the meeting was influenced by a certain group of teachers to impose the decisions of their choice.

One of the decisions, they claimed, was nomination of three professors as members of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research without approval of the Academic Council which is a violation of the University of Sindh Act, 1972.
