KARACHI: Ever since Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took up his post, opposition parties have targeted him claiming he is not fit for the job handed to him.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, however, has always defended his appointment and even drew comparisons to legendary cricketer Wasim Akram, by saying that,"Just like no one thought his [Akram's] selection was the right decision, Usman Buzdar will also prove everyone wrong".

Recently, a video went viral on social media in which Buzdar forgot to shake Inspector General Punjab Javed Saleemi's hand during a passing out parade in Multan.

The top police officer presented a shield to the provincial chief minister, and later extended a hand for greetings, but Buzdar, wearing black glasses, turned and walked away, forgetting to shake hands.

When asked during a press conference later on why he did not acknowledge the greeting, Buzdar said: "It was due to a lack of training and slowly I'm learning the protocols...it will take sometime you know."
