Staying on top of the fashion game is crucial when you’re a celebrity. A lot of hard work and an entire army of professionals go into getting the A-listers ready for their public appearances. Each and every detail is carefully curated. After all, their whole careers are dependent on how they look.
Sometimes though, celebrities end up in the same outfits and considering all the paps they are hounded by, such fashion overlaps are bound to get noticed. Such was the case with Bollywood beauties Sonam Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra recently, who ended up in the exact same gowns – albeit in a different colour.
At an event hosted by a luxury brand in Switzerland, Kapoor sported three different looks, each better than the last. Among these was an ethereal blush pink silk dress, reported Pinkvilla.
This gown was selected from designer Mark Bumgarner’s Spring-Summer 2019 collection. It boasts of some modern design sensibilities, making it an ideal ballroom or an elegant evening party dress. It featured a structured bodice and flared skirt and was enhanced by sharp details with some overlapping ruffles which are neatly pleated and folded.
Kapoor teamed the gown with embellished ballerinas and delicate, minimal jewellery to boot. The highlight, however, was the dewy-toned make-up, glossy blush pink lip colour and well-defined yet subtle eye make-up. Her hair was parted in the middle and put up in a bun. As always, Kapoor looked picture perfect.
Chopra, on the other hand, gave an edgier twist to the outfit by opting for a hot pink version of it. She was spotted wearing it at an award function last year, with the same sharp cuts and one-shoulder detailing but in a longer silhouette.
The Ladies v Ricky Bahl star kept the jewellery to a bare minimum with a pair of beautiful diamond ear drops and a statement ring. Her make-up featured smokey eyes and a pink lips while her hair was let down to the shoulder’s length.
Without a doubt, both Kapoor and Chopra more than did justice to the similar looks. Who do you think wore it better?
