Three held for looting, torturing family in Shujabad Tehsil

At least three unidentified suspects were arrested by police for torturing a family and looting valuables during a robbery bid in Shujabad Tehsil.

Khangarh police told Express News that 10 outlaws barged into the house of Tasleem Mai in Bale Wahan area. The accused allegedly tortured the woman’s family and looted valuables, including cash and jewellery.

However, when the family members put up resistance, the culprits opened fire on them. As a result, Tasleem Mai suffered a bullet injury to the hand. When the victims raised a hue and cry, people from the neighbourhood intervened and caught three suspects. The others managed to escape from the scene.

Later, locals informed the police about the incident. The force reached the crime scene and arrested the criminals. The police claimed to have seized a car and a truck from the custody of the accused and registered a case against them.

On January 23, a local landlord brutally tortured farmers in Shujabad Tehsil.

Reportedly, farmers Abdul Ghafoor, Zahoor and Shakoor were constructing a wall in Jhok Musa adjacent to local landlord Muhammad Ameen’s house. However, Ameen had reservations over the construction as he believed that it occupied a part of his land.

In a fit of rage, the landlord and his accomplices, identified as Muhammad Naseem, Muhammad Asif and Jaffar, barged into the home of the farmers and brutally tortured them and the women present.
