Tarakai bans commercialisation

The minister chairs meeting convened to discuss issues relating to commercialization in a locality of University Town

PESHAWAR: Minister for Local Government Shahram Tarakai on Friday directed immediate ban on commercialisation of residential properties in University Town and warned of strict action  against those found involve in the practice without prior permission of local government. He questioned that how the process of commercialisation started in absence of approved rules and regulations. He was chairing a meeting convened to discuss issues relating to commercialization in locality of University Town. The meeting, among others, was attended by LG Secretary Zahir Shah, Local Council Board Secretary Khizr Hayat, Town III Assistant Commissioner and concerned officials.
