The visit included Pakistan Institute of Management Sciences (Pims) in Islamabad, Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi.
The minister monitored the overall facilities in the hospitals and directed to look after the difficulties faced by the patients and solve them.
He further said that no carelessness would be tolerated in the provision of facilities and further ordered the hospitals’ administrations to ensure the provision of medical facilities to the patients.
Quality healthcare: Health insurance card expanded to entire country
Kiani said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was paying special attention to the health office and said that the hospitals located in Islamabad and Rawalpindi would soon be modernised.
He further claimed that the health budget would be increased.
While pointing out the negligence of previous governments in the health sector he expressed that the government would bring all available resources in use to provide health facilities to the masses. Health cards would be issued to the people living below the poverty line, he added.
He further said that the package of the health card had been increased to Rs0.73 million on the special directives from the Prime Minister which would give people the option to get themselves treated for free either in government or private hospitals.
The minister expressed that the masses would soon experience the changes made in health sector.
