Chinese President Hu Jintao, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad among others attended the reception. Earlier, after their arrival in the Kazakh capital, the heads of states held bilateral meetings and exchanged views on how to promote regional peace and security and enhance economic cooperation.
