Govt accepts demands of Lady Health Workers

ISLAMABAD: All the demands made by the Lady Health Workers have been accepted by the government and a three month time period has been given for the implementation of demands.

The demands were accepted after a  nine-member delegation of the Lady Heath workers met the Federal Minister for Health, Makhdoom Shahabuddin on Friday. Sahabuddin accepted all the demands presented, including permanent employee status.

The protest and hunger strike, which lasted for two days outside the Parliament House in Islamabad, ended after the meeting.

A notification has also been issued by the Ministry of Health regarding the demands.

Marvi Memon, who was actively involved in the protest tweeted:
