
The Bank of Punjab on Monday elevated director Ghafoor Mirza to the post of chairman to take the reins of the bank which has been rocked by a financial scam, according to a notice sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange.
Four former directors of the bank are currently under trial at the Supreme Court for embezzling Rs20 billion.
