Church committee: Police ‘resolve’ fight over membership
A fist fight followed the argument between the group and the committee members headed by David and Kamran Miraj.

At least 22 men were arrested from United Church in St Mary’s Colony, Gulberg, on Sunday following a clash between two groups over membership to church’s committee. They were later released.
SHO Abid Rasheed told The Express Tribune the matter has been resolved. He said both groups had agreed to accommodate each other’s members in the committee.
He said the clash started when 20 men, led by Salamat and Patras, went to the United Church in St Mary Colony to demand membership of the church committee.
He said that a fist fight followed the argument between the group and the committee members headed by David and Kamran Miraj.
SHO Rasheed said the committee was in charge of maintenance and collection of a weekly donation made by the families living in the St Mary Colony.
He said the donations per week came to around Rs4,000.
