ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) would rally on June 15 to protest against the delay in formation of a judicial inquiry commission to probe into the killings of 74 journalists including Salim Shahzad. Addressing a joint press conference here at National Press Club, PFUJ President Pervez Shaukat, National Press Club President Afzal Butt and Rawalpindi Union of Journalists (RUIJ) President Tahir Rathore said that the journalist community does not blame any individual or institution for the journalists’ deaths. “Our demand is an impartial inquiry to expose the killers of these journalists.” They also demanded that the family members of the victims be given compensation.
