A total of 400 scholarships for agriculture and business students were announced by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) here on Sunday.
These scholarships are in addition to 1,407 scholarships announced back in 2004.
The scholarships are meant for needy students from rural areas and will provide them funds for tuition fees, lodging and boarding, books, transport and other academic costs, an official of Higher Education Commission told APP.
He said that applicants must secure admission as per university requirements in a program covered under this scholarships scheme and also secure a new admission for Spring or Fall 2011 in an agriculture or business administration program at eligible institutions.
