LAHORE:

A man died after being beaten up for demanding his salary from his employer in Naulakha on Wednesday.

Police said that Wasim, a resident of Hari Chand Sultanpura, used to work at a shop on Brandreth Road, which was owned by Owais. Allegedly, a day prior to his death, Wasim asked Owais for his salary. This led to an argument between the two during which Owais and two other employees violently beat Wasim, critically injuring him.

However, the perpetrators took Wasim to a hospital for medical treatment where he breathed his last. Owais and the two unidentified men left the body at the hospital and fled the scene.

Police have taken the deceased’s body into custody and have shifted it to the morgue for an autopsy. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the three culprits on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the men.

In a separate incident, a man shot and killed his older brother and uncle over a property dispute in Sunder on Wednesday. Police said that the incident took place in a village called Marake where Arshad had a property dispute with his older brother Khurram and Uncle Ramzan.

Police said that they gathered evidence with the help of forensic experts. Raids were being conducted to apprehend the accused, they said.
