PPP finalises arrangements for Benazir’s 11th death anniversary
Over 7,000 police personnel, 300 Rangers will be deployed at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has finalised arrangements to observe the 11th death anniversary of former PPP chairperson and prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on Thursday at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
The commemoration programme will start at 1pm on December 27 with a public meeting that will be addressed by PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former president and PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Zardari, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Maula Baksh Chandio, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other central leaders of PPP at the Bhutto Family Mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. A documentary, depicting the life and achievements of Benazir, will also be shown on the occasion.

Separate camps have been set up to accommodate the party's leaders and workers from all four provinces, Gilgit-Biltistan, the northern areas and Azad Kashmir. Reception camps have also been established.
Caravans of PPP leaders and workers began reaching Larkana, Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on Wednesday.
Larkana Deputy Comissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique and Larkana SSP Masood Bangash told the media that special security and traffic arrangements have been made for the occasion. Over 7,000 police personnel including traffic police and special police commandos of Sindh police as well as 300 personnel of Shahbaz Rangers will be deployed to ensure law and order, they said.
Bangash informed that senior ranking officers will supervise and monitor activities in the vicinity of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and Naudero.
Aerial surveillance will also be carried out along with the installation of CCTV cameras at different locations.

A bomb disposal squad equipped with bomb detectors, scanning machines, jammers, and sniffer dogs will be present on the occasion and watch towers and 60 walk through gates with police mobiles will be set up.
According to Siddique, various medical and other welcome camps will also be set up as well as 60 fire brigades deployed at various locations. He added that the medical team, mobile hospitals and ambulances will serve the public.
