DRAP aims to regulate herbal, alternative medicine
Draft bill has already been approved by the federal cabinet and will be presented in the assembly soon
ISLAMABAD:
The apex drug regulator is hoping to gain greater regulatory powers over herbal, alternative medicines and medical devices as soon as amendments to its laws are passed.
This was stated by the Federal Health Minister Aamer Mahmood Kiani in a ceremony of pharmacists and chemists in Rawalpindi.
The minister said that the draft bill for the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) in this regard has already been approved by the federal cabinet and will be presented in the assembly soon.
