Four-year-old girl escapes rape attempt in Faisalabad

Police says school watchman took Q* in a room and tried to sexually assault her

FAISALABAD: A case of attempted rape, involving a four-year-old girl, was reported in Faisalabad on Monday, Express News has learnt.

A police official said that Zulfiqar Raja, grandfather of victim Q*, lodged a complaint at the police station stating that her granddaughter was enrolled in nursery section at a local school in People’s Colony.

He stated that security guard Nasir, who was deputed at the school, had been teasing the minor girl for the past one month. He added that despite lodging several complaints to the principal of the school, he did not take action against the accused.



Zulfiqar maintained that on the day of the incident, the culprit took Q* in a room after school and allegedly tried to sexually assault her. He mentioned that in the meantime, the girl’s family members reached the school to pick her.

When the girl raised a hue and cry, the school staff and victim’s family rushed to the spot. However, the culprit managed to escape from the scene.

The People’s Colony police registered a case against the suspect and started investigations.



Earlier, a differently-abled girl escaped a rape attempt in Rahim Yar Khan. The child’s father was the one who filed the complaint.

The victim’s father H*, a resident of Chak No 235, submitted a complaint at the police station in which he stated that his daughter S* was differently-abled. He added that S* went to the fields to fetch fodder for the cattle.

He maintained that while she was on her way to the fields, accused Aslam grabbed the girl and tried to sexually assault her. He added that his daughter raised a hue and cry which attracted the attention of other farmers who rushed to help her.

H* stated that after spotting people approaching, the accused fled the scene.
