Relations between Pakistan and India have been fractious with armed conflicts and heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. However, a recent video shows that Indian soldiers stationed on the Siachen glacier dancing to a popular Pakistani song.

In the video, which soon began doing the rounds on social media, Indian troops are dancing to the beat of Hawa Hawa by famous singer Hasan Jahangir.


On August 30, a viral internet video showing Pakistani and Indian soldiers dancing together to popular Bollywood songs.

The video has been shown by several Pakistani and Indian news outlets after it went viral on social media platforms.

Contingents of Pakistani and Indian armies were participating in joint multinational exercise organised under the umbrella of The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), or Shanghai Pact, in Russia.
