Anushka Sharma responds to rumours of first pregnancy

Actor will be ringing in the first year of her marriage with Virat Kohli on December 1

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of Bollywood's most popular couples. The duo tied the knot last year and often share photos of each other on their social media handles that show them happily in love.

The latest buzz is that that the couple has been expecting their first child together. The circulations further stated that it is one of the reasons why Anushka hasn't announced any new project, reported Filmfare.

The rumours seem to have left the actor confused. In an interview, Anushka revealed, "Spreading rumours is something people will do anyway. It’s completely unnecessary and silly as you ultimately can’t hide such a thing. You can hide a marriage but not pregnancy."

The star feels that every female actor goes through this. "People marry you off even before you are hitched and make you a mother before you are pregnant. I don’t pay attention to it and just laugh these things off since I find them hilarious. When I read about such stuff, I think, ‘Where do such absurd things come from?’ Right now, I’m literally working round-the-clock."

Virat and Anushka will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary on December 1. The couple plans to spend it in Australia, where the Indian cricketer will be playing a Test series.
