ISLAMABAD: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Islamabad died on Wednesday in a road accident while his son was critically injured, police said. ASI Naseer Hashmi presently serving in office of Senior Superintendent of Police(Operations) was on his way on motorbike to drop his 18-year old son to college. He was hit by a car near Dhok Kala Khan resulting his instant death while his son was in critical condition in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital. The funeral prayer of the deceased personnel was offered at Police Line Headquarters which was attended among others by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar and SSP (Operations) Syed Muhammad Amin Bukhari. The IGP said that family of the deceased personnel would be provided every assistance in this difficult time.
