I hope Hrithik and Sussanne get back together: Sanjay Khan

Latter's father feels that the two might have had their reasons to separate but should work on their differences

News of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan divorcing his wife Sussanne Khan after 14 years of marriage came as a shock to the world. The former couple was head over heels each other and also had two children together, boys Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

While Hrithik and Sussanne haven't let their breakup affect their kids in any way, the latter's father Sanjay Khan still wants her to get back with the Krrish star, reported DNA India.

A few days ago, Sanjay, at the launch of his autobiography called The Best Mistakes of My Life, spoke about marriage. He said, "It is sad and unfortunate. The institution of marriage is being eroded and isn’t celebrated as it was in the earlier days when it was 'till death do us part'. My personal advice to all youngsters who get married would be to do their best to make it work. When we could do it in our times, why can’t you?"

The 77-year-old star explained that people need to understand the true value of life. He added, "Do not be distracted. See the value of a home life, see the value of a good family. Don’t think frivolously and while under the influence of alcohol or drugs."

Sanjay continued that divorce is a very heartbreaking thing to go through. He shared that he never asked Sussanne the reason for ending her relationship with Hrithik. However, he's glad that his grandchildren haven't had any negative impact because of their parents' separation.

The Upaasna actor stated, "I still love Hrithik and I love my daughter. They must have their reasons but the good part is that they’re still very good friends. The children don’t feel the negative impact of their separation because of the combined efforts of both to keep it working. They holiday together and they take care of the children."

Addressing people's concern on his relationship with the Fizza actor, Sanjay explained, "When people say that Hrithik is no longer my son-in-law, I tell them that I do have a relationship with him. He is the father of my grandchildren and that can never change. I just hope they get back together."

Hrithik and Sussanne have been co-parenting their kids ever since they parted ways in 2014. Earlier rumours stated that the two were planning to get back together but a source close to them rubbished all such claims.
