Islamic University Islamabad celebrates top 500 QS ranking

International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai has said that IIUI’s position among 500 universities of Asia in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking is a matter of pride. He emphasised on educational institutions working to maintain balance in teaching and research.
He was addressing here at a ceremony held to celebrate IIUI’s position among 351-400 universities in all of Asia. IIUI Rector said that recognition of Pakistani educational institutions in the world ranking was a good sign in terms of progress of the nation. He urged that universities must come forward to serve the society and furthered that IIUI, in terms of serving society, has formed a Paigham-e-Pakistan narrative which has been recognised by all the nations even in the United Nations. “We will not disappoint the nation, we will come forward with positive developments soon in the field of academic excellence and quality higher education” said Dr Yasinzai.
On the occasion, a presentation on the process of international ranking, points of scoring and key factors to be discussed in this regard, was also given by Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) officials.
The ceremony was also attended by IIUI Vice Presidents Dr Aqdas Naveed Malik, Dr Muhammad Munir and other senior officials.
