Annoyed at 'VIP treatment', CJP orders shifting Shahrukh Jatoi to death cell
Top judge suspends jail superintendent, orders probe as to why the convict was not shifted to death cell
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar was on Saturday angered at the VIP treatment being meted out to murder convict Shahrukh Jatoi, ordering to shift the prisoner to the death cell.
The top judge was visiting Karachi's Malir jail holding convicted criminal Shahrukh Jatoi, who was found to be enjoying B-class facilities.
Upon seeing the facilities being dispensed to Jatoi, Justice Nisar asked, "how can a convicted murderer be enjoying such facilities here [in the jail]". He also issued the directives to suspend the jail superintendent at the criminal negligence.

"He [Shahrukh] has been convicted by a court of murder; how is this possible," the top judge remarked, and ordered a report into the matter.
The top judge also inspected the room of Inspector General of the jail with the prison authorities not allowing the media to accompany the former during the inspection.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court sentenced Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur to death, while Sajjad Talpur and Murtaza Lashari were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of former cop's son Shahzeb Khan in Karachi.
