In a statement on Monday, the minister said that the increase in Indian atrocities in the occupied state “is a confession of Indian defeat at the hands of Kashmiris”.
Reacting to the martyrdom of 14 Kashmiris in Indian shelling, Fawad said, “The blood of Kashmiris is a blot on the conscience of the United Nations, and now the world conscience is becoming a target of Indian army guns.”

He said the international community and the UN should rise from their deep slumber and pressurise India to stop the genocide of innocent Kashmiris.
The minister said that Kashmiris were being victimised for demanding their internationally-recognised right to self-determination. He said Kashmiri mothers, sisters, children, youth and elderly people had written a new chapter in history by showing great courage against the Indian repression.
He said that without the resolution of the Kashmir issue, durable peace in South Asia was not possible. He urged the world community to fulfil its promise and help resolve the longstanding dispute.
Pakistan, he said, would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support for the cause.
Fawad said the Kashmiri “pro-freedom martyrs are shining stars of principles and truth” and “their martyrdom is a manifestation of the fact that Kashmiris have rejected illegal occupation of the state”.
