Pakistan striving for regional peace and stability, General Bajwa says

Qatar Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday.

The two discussed matters of mutual interest, the military's media wing said in a statement. Pakistan has been striving for regional peace and security, the COAS told the visiting Qatari dignitary.

Al Thani acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan's achievements in fight against terrorism and continued efforts for peace and stability in the region, the ISPR said.

During his visit to Italy earlier on Wednesday, Bajwa said Pakistan had emerged stronger from tribulations and was open to the world, according to the ISPR.

“The COAS visited Italy and called on the Italian defence minister, chief of Italian Army and secretary general of defence,” the military’s media wing said.

“Though the fight is still on, Pakistan has emerged stronger from the tribulations." Pakistan is open to the world and the government has has been striving  for both, internal and external peace to ensure people's prosperity, the COAS said.
