The 20th anniversary of Bollywood blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH) saw a star-studded celebration with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in attendance. While some spilled the beans on KKHH's script, others revealed how the film inspired them, reported Hindustan Times.

Speaking at the event, Khan shared how, initially, he didn't think too much of the script and saw it as a ridiculous one. Nonetheless, he decided to sign the film due to his belief in Johar as a director. “I never listen to scripts, I listen to the heartbeats of the people I work with."

The Raees star continued, "At times, millennial chat with me and say things like 'why did you let go of that script? That was such a great script.' Till date, I never understood a script. I can say this with confidence that I never understood a script rather the script-maker or film-maker.”

He added, “Karan came and narrated utter nonsense to me; which is certainly not the one that finally you people saw in the film. Nonetheless, he tried to impress me with his ridiculous story. So yes, I really did not understand the story when I signed it but I am glad that I did it.”
