Justice will be served, top judge tells families of APS martyrs
Justice Nisar directs K-P chief secretary to prepare a summary
PESHAWAR:
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday assured the families of martyrs of APS carnage that justice will be served.
This came during a visit to the Army Public School (APS) where the CJP laid floral wreath at the martyrs’ monument and offered prayers for the departed souls. Nisar also joined the families of martyrs, for Quran recitation within school premises.
During the interaction with the families, the CJP assured that “whole nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them and all their grievances will be resolved”.
The dejected mothers present in the hall once again asked the CJP for justice and punishment for those behind the APS carnage on December 16, 2014.

“Justice will be served,” he said adding that a judicial inquiry commission had already been formed on demand of the families.
Moreover, Nisar also directed the chief secretary of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to prepare a summary of genuine demands of the parents and submit to him so that they could be properly resolved.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Tufail Khattak, father of the martyred Sher Shah also announced Rs100,000 for Prime Minister-Chief Justice Diamer-Bhasha Mohmand Dam fund on behalf of the APS martyrs.
