QUETTA: Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohsin Butt has directed the police force to perform their duty with dignity and honour, saying further measures are being taken to equip them with latest weaponry and modern training.
“In order to meet the security challenges, we must fulfil the needs of the police force,” said the IGP while addressing a session of the police force in Makran on Monday.

Commandant Balochistan Constabulary Zubair Ashraf Siddique, DIG Headquarters Hussain Habib, Makran DIG Shahab Azeem Lehri and police officials gave a briefing to the IGP.
Addressing the session, Butt said, “Training of police officers on divisional basis will start soon which will help sharpen their skills.
“Today, peace has been restored in Balochistan due to the precious sacrifices rendered by the Balochistan police. Protecting the masses and rooting out crime are the primary duties of the police force.”

Sharing his views on the martyrs of the police force, the IGP said, “We can’t forget our martyrs, who lost their lives in the line of duty. We need to set our priorities following their vision.
“With support of the provincial government, we have been utilising all available resources to strengthen our police force.”
