The final call on whether to include votes cast by overseas Pakistanis in the October 14 by-elections shall be made by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The chief election commissioner on Monday is scheduled to brief the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials on the matter. In the meeting, authorities are expected to debated upon the inclusion of overseas votes.

The ECP has also sought details of election expenditure from winning candidates within seven days.
Returning officers are required to obtain the necessary details from the winning candidates and submit the details to the poll body. ECP stated that they shall withhold notifications for candidates who fail to submit expense details.

Out of the 7,364 overseas voters, 6,233 voted in the by-polls resulting in an 83.5 per cent turnout.
