The informal session chaired by former NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq condemned the arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

"This episode has made a laughing stock out of Pakistan," said PML-N leader Chaudhry Tanveer and Senator Usman Kakar also alleged irregularities during the July 25 general elections.

The PML-N on Thursday also termed the government's Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme as "impractical".

On Wednesday, PML-N workers and leaders staged a protest outside Punjab Assembly. The protest session was called by Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz.

The decision to organise protests was taken at the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting presided over by the PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif earlier this week.
