SUKKUR:
Journalists from print and electronic media observed a black day against the brutal murder of senior journalist Saleem Shahzad.

On Friday, a condolence meeting was held led by the Indus Union of Journalists president Imdad Bozdar. The journalists donned black armbands and spoke about freedom of expression, independent journalism and human rights.

They cited the case of Wali Khan Babar where the government claimed that they were close to catching the culprits but nothing happened. They demanded something practical be done to protect journalists and that the government arrest and punish the people responsible.
