KARACHI:

Pepco has served a final notice to Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) for the payment of Rs28 billion arrears.

The KESC management is yet to respond to Pepco which has already served more than 11 notices to demand the payment of dues.

Pepco has now issued a final notice and directed KESC to deposit the dues by 5pm today, warning that otherwise, power supply to KESC will be terminated.

Sources said KESC has failed to clear it dues despite the fact that it was given a subsidy of Rs47 billion rupees and additional power supply by Pepco.
