QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday said the central plank of Balochistan Awami Party’s (BAP) politics is to provide quality development projects and relief to the people.

Addressing a public gathering in Ziarat valley organised by BAP, the CM reiterated he will utilise provincial resources for the prosperity of the masses. He said that no development on the ground level was seen in the province during the time of previous governments.

“Our government would complete the development projects with strict monitoring”, he said. With regard to public division over ethnicity and religion, the CM said that attempts were made to divide the people on the basis of nationalism.

“The nationalist governments were fond of blaming the federal government for province’s deprivation but they should be held responsible for the backwardness,” Kamal said.

He said that there will be schools and hospitals rather than roads and community halls because his government has started work with planning and impartial monitoring for a developed Balochistan.

Jam Kamal pledged that the provincial government would resolve the issues of the local farmers. He added that the issue of importing apple from Iran would be discussed with the prime minister during his next visit to the province.

“Ziarat is a famous picnic spot in the country with its vast juniper forest,” the CM said adding that the provincial government is serious in restoring tourism in the province with better planning.
Provincial minister elected from Ziarat Noor Muhammad Dummar lauded CM Balochistan’s visit of the valley.

He said that the former chief minister and grandfather of CM Jam Kamal had declared Ziarat as a District and his father Jam Yousaf played an active role in declaring Harni as a district. He informed the chief minister regarding the woes of his people during the public gathering.
