ISLAMABAD: There is no country like Pakistan in the world, where a tourist can enjoy four seasons at a time and the most hospitable nation in the world, Islamabad Deputy Mayor Zessahn Naqvi said on Saturday. He was speaking at an awareness walks and symposiums organised by Centre for Culture and Development (C2D) for creating importance of tourism in the economy of a country.

C2D Executive Director Nadeem Omar said there was no contradiction on the importance of sustainable development of tourism industry as major source of foreign exchange, a tool of job creation and poverty alleviation. It also helps in creating harmony among people from different parts of the country.

“Local community must be vibrant to take steps for promoting local tourism. Like in Qilla Saifullah, Markhor hunting is prohibited while limited permission is given to authorised hunters after paying US $30,000 which is utilized on the uplift of that area", he said.
