65,670 candidates take UHS test in Punjab

Including 41,681 female and 23,989 male candidates

As many as 65,670 candidates including 41,681 female and 23,989 male, appeared for the Medical and Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT) which was conducted by the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Sunday.



The test, which started at 10:00am, was conducted peacefully at 28 centres set up in Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, DG Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Hassan Abdal. Candidates started reaching their centres as early as 6 in the morning. More than 5,500 invigilators and supervisory staff were on duty.



Heavy contingents of police were deployed at these test centres to prevent any disruptions. Ambulances and fire brigades were also at hand. Further, CCTV cameras, mobile phone jammers and walkthrough gates were installed at major centres. In Lahore, a total of 12,068 female and 6,350 male candidates appeared for the test.
