ISLAMABAD: District authorities have sealed at least three clinics being run by quacks on the outskirts of the capital. Officials said a team of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and District Health Office checked clinics in Sihala during which they found that several clinics were being run by either paramedics or people with no recognised medical education. Three establishments were sealed during the drive in Sihala. That included Awami Clinic, Al-Amir Homeo Medical Clinic and Hajama Centre, and Gul Medical Complex and Maternity Home. The quacks prescribing medicines and injecting drugs at these clinics were arrested and sent to judicial custody. The operation was supervised by Assistant Commissioner Rural Zone Dr Waqar Ali Khan.
