CIA nabs 36 wanted criminals in Gujranwala
Several suspects were habitual criminals and were wanted on various heinous crimes says police official
GUJRANWALA:
CIA police claimed to have arrested 36 wanted criminals belonging to different groups on Friday.
A police official told Express News that the accused were nabbed during different raids by CIA DSP Imran Abbas and his team. He added the suspects were habitual criminals and were wanted to police in several crimes of heinous nature.
He revealed that during interrogation the outlaws confessed to committing dozens of criminal activities in Civil Lines, Model Town, Sabzi Mandi, Jinnah Road, Saddar Kamonke, Ghaggar Mandi, Naushera Virkan and other areas.
He maintained that the suspects also committed robberies and street crimes in other districts, including Chiniot, Sargodha and Faisalabad. The official transpired that the accused used to roam posh localities and would gather information regarding their targets. Later, they would barge into the houses and loot valuables and cash at gun point.
He disclosed that the criminals would also commit robberies on highways. “Most of them were involved in looting warehouses and factories.
