Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage
How would you describe your body type?
I would say lean and slender
Has your body type changed over the last five years?
Yes! I have become more lean as I have incorporated weight training in my gym regime.
How has your style changed over the years?
In the past I was into street style looks whereas now, I like to experiment with different styles depending on the occasion from smart casuals to sophisticated evening wear.
What item in your closet do you wear the most?
My white jeans! They’re versatile for day and evening, just a quick change of shoes makes them perfect throughout the day.
What is the one piece of clothing that you would never wear?
A total animal-print look. Those who would want to wear animal print should select good quality materials and wear one item at time, rather than both top and bottom.
In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing here?
I think not dressing appropriately based on your body type including height and weight.
What’s your favourite item in your closet?
My black denim fringe jacket!
What’s a style every woman should try at least once in her life?
I think women shouldn’t shy away form adding more accessories to their look. You could experiment with nice pieces of jewellery which can transform a basic look into something more chic.
If you could have any TV or movie character’s wardrobe, whose would you choose and why?
It has to be Angelina Jolie from the movie The Tourist. Her looks were feminine with a classic take on fashion.
Which silhouettes suit your body the most?
In order to dress for your body type, you have to know exactly what accentuates your best features. Tailored outfits suit my body type as it creates an overall balanced look.
