0.65 million children to be vaccinated

Around 0.65 million children under age of five will be inoculated during four-day polio drive

BAHAWALPUR: Around 0.65 million children under the age of five will be inoculated during the four-day polio drive in the district commencing on September 24.

This was stated in a meeting presided over by Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Ayub Khan at his office on Monday.

During the meeting, it was also revealed that children will be given capsules to overcome a Vitamin A deficiency which can cause diseases such as measles and polio. It was also added that 3,048 personnel will be on duty in 1,401 teams.

This will also include 1,180 mobile teams, 161 fixed teams and 123 transit teams.
